MaMà Dots
“Pop Pointillism”
Hand-painted art
for the age of Artificial Intelligence
“Born within an Italian family, MaMà Dots developed Pop Pointillism,
a contemporary artistic language where thousands of hand-painted oil dots
recreate the aesthetics of pixels, algorithms and digital culture while
reaffirming the central role of the human being”.
MaMà's Virgin, 120 x 174 cm, oil on canvas.
A Family Painting the Future
MaMà Dots is a family artistic collective.
In an era of automated image production, the family chooses the opposite direction: oil painting, craftsmanship, patience and responsibility.
Their home becomes a contemporary workshop where tradition meets the digital age.
What’s Pop Pointillism?
Developed by MaMà Dots, Pop Pointillism reinterprets the legacy of pointillism through the visual language of pixels, social media and Artificial Intelligence.
Thousands of hand-painted oil dots create images that appear digitally generated while remaining profoundly human.
Human Creativity Beyond AI
In an increasingly automated world, MaMà Dots explores the value of time, craftsmanship and human imagination.
Every artwork is painted by hand using thousands of individually placed oil dots.
Anna Fendi and the Recognition of Pop Pointillism
The encounter with Anna Fendi represents a key milestone in the artistic journey of MaMà Dots.
As Honorary Patron of the collective, Anna Fendi was among the first prominent figures to recognize the strength of Pop Pointillism: a hand-painted language capable of translating the visual culture of the digital age into a deeply human artistic gesture.
Her endorsement places MaMà Dots within a dialogue between contemporary art, Italian creativity and cultural patronage.
